Hotel suggestions for Hydra, Greece

We are husband & wife, traveling with our grown daughter and two grandkids. Will be in Hydra for 3 nights, mid September. Need nice, modestly priced hotel recommendations.

We have looked into Miranda Hotel and Angelica Hotel.

All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Cotommatae Hydra 1810 is a really good Hotel.

From the two hotels that you mentioned i would not recommend Miranda, Angelica definitely yes !

Have also a look at : Mistral, Orloff and Bratsera.

Hotels in Hydra usually are more expensive during the weekends and lower their rates during the week. :)

Thank YOU so much clausar...we were seriously looking at Miranda because it is recommended in both the Rick Steves' Guide and Fodor's Guide.

Can you tell us why? Just curious - either way we've taken it off our list!!

Thanks also PetrosB3!
Can't wait to check out all the recommendations.

Checked out all the recommendations. I think Hotel Mistral might be able to accommodate our two families (1 adult & two kids plus me & DH) the easiest and for the better price.

Hoping they have availability. :)

Any must do or see suggestions maybe not always highlighted in the guide books? Restaurants or family friendly beaches?

Just to follow up on my own post (!) we did stay at the recommended Mistral Hotel. It was truly wonderful. I also recommend a day boat trip (a short trip maybe 15 min minutes or less) to a charming beach called Vlychos Beach.
