Hotel suggestions for Hydra, Greece
We are husband & wife, traveling with our grown daughter and two grandkids. Will be in Hydra for 3 nights, mid September. Need nice, modestly priced hotel recommendations.
We have looked into Miranda Hotel and Angelica Hotel. All suggestions are appreciated. Thanks! |

Cotommatae Hydra 1810 is a really good Hotel.

From the two hotels that you mentioned i would not recommend Miranda, Angelica definitely yes !
Have also a look at : Mistral, Orloff and Bratsera. Hotels in Hydra usually are more expensive during the weekends and lower their rates during the week. :) |
Thank YOU so much clausar...we were seriously looking at Miranda because it is recommended in both the Rick Steves' Guide and Fodor's Guide.
Can you tell us why? Just curious - either way we've taken it off our list!! Thanks also PetrosB3! Can't wait to check out all the recommendations. |
Checked out all the recommendations. I think Hotel Mistral might be able to accommodate our two families (1 adult & two kids plus me & DH) the easiest and for the better price.
Hoping they have availability. :) Any must do or see suggestions maybe not always highlighted in the guide books? Restaurants or family friendly beaches? |

Just to follow up on my own post (!) we did stay at the recommended Mistral Hotel. It was truly wonderful. I also recommend a day boat trip (a short trip maybe 15 min minutes or less) to a charming beach called Vlychos Beach.
