Hotel Suggestion Strasbourg

Looking for a nice hotel with rates $80.00 - $115.00 US. To aid in the experience of visiting the city. Thank you for your suggestions.

Three of us stayed at the Hotel Kleber last summer. It was a pleasant hotel, not fancy, but very centrally located and with helpful staff. The address is 29 Place Kleber and you can find it on the net by searching accommodation in Strasbourg. It is within walking distance of the old area, canals, river, cathedral, and many restaurants. It was less than the price you mentioned. Strasbourg is a wonderful city - enjoy yourself!

I highly recommend the Hote des rohan. I stayed there last year and found it to be very nice. It has a friendly staff, comfortable rooms and modern baths. The rates include a very nice breakfast in their breakfast room. The hotel is just steps away from the Cathedral and amoungst shops and hundreds of restaurants. One tip - Have a good map to get there. The hotel is in a pedestrian district so you wil have to park the car and walk from the public garage. The hotel will fetch you luggage if you wish! Be sure to read the page called "Access Plan" in their websight.

Here is the websight...

http://www.hotel-rohan.com/

Have a great time in Strasbourg, its a wonderful little city. I hope you will also visit Alsace!

P.S. Since I last stayed there it looks like they changed their name to "Hotel Cardinal de Rohan".

Another vote for Hotel du Rohan; great little place, perfect location!

I highly recommend 3-star Hotel de l'Europe. www.hotel-europe.com Should be within that range (90 euros in winter). Strasbourg hotels are a lot cheaper than Paris so you can stay in a nicer place in your budget, if you wish. I just discussed it in a recent thread on Strasbourg if you wish to search, someone else was going there.

I second Christina's recommendation of Hotel de l'Europe for anyone wanting a hotel in Strasbourg. I have not stayed there yet, but we will be there in October. However, the reception staff, especially Marie, is very helpful. I am having problems getting train information to Freiburg and Marie personally offered to check into getting the train schedules for me. Other questions I had either she or the other staff members answered them within the same day (and their time is 9 hours ahead of mine). Not only that but when reserving by email (they don't even require you to send a fax) I specifically asked for a large triple room with timbered ceiling like the one pictured on their site and Marie reserved it for us-no problem. I wish more hotels could have this level of service.
