Good afternoon, Nina Have not stayed at the SICILIA, however know of its
location. It is a three star hotel and
room service contains, television, telephone and air conditioning. The
via Sicilia runs east for about three
blocks from the middle of the Via Veneto
there are plenty of ristorantes and shops around this area.. Would assume
that the via Sicilia would not be a
heavily traveled street and more quite.

I have stayed. My family like it, but I am less keen on Rome in general than they are. Room was quiet, clean, comfortable, but quite basic and a little dark and small. I have been happy there, though, and I've stayed more than once. It's reasonable. The hotels I have LOVED have always cost quite a bit more! (Harrods taste and Woolworths money, that's me) It is about one hundred yards from the best cafe on the Via Veneto, and there is a ludicrously extravagant restaurant in the basement. A good (expensive) shoe shop round the corner too. I have stayed in another place in Rome which was MUCH worse (instantly forgotten!) The Spanish Steps would be my choice of areas, but I would stay at the Sicilia again (in another town, perhaps).

If that is any help at all, well ...

I never heard of the Sicilia but I like the Hotel Due Torri!

You can see it on my websight, plus a lot of other info. The sight isn't completely finished but the Rome section is.
