Anyone ever stay here? Looks beautiful. Feedback would be great.

Errr...and what city would this be located in?

Excellent, Excellent, excellent. In fact just received a thank you card all the way from Florence today for staying there last month.

I think there's one in London, and I know one in Prague.

The one in London is excellent, especially if you can afford a river suite.

The most famous Savoy (including the one in songs) is the one in London, so I'd assume since mml didn't specify that's the one meant. But when I click on UK, this post doesn't come up.
Wanna give us a hint?

Well, I am assuming mml102 is referring to the Hotel Savoy in Florence, since his other post refers to a hotel in Venice, and since he refers to it as the &quot;Hotel Savoy&quot; rather than the &quot;Savoy Hotel&quot; which I belive is the proper name for the one in London.

The Hotel Savoy is a very nice hotel (as are all of Rocco Forte's hotels), in a good location for sightseeing, with IMO two drawbacks (i) room size, (ii) no real river or Duomo views. The first can be taken care of by getting a room that is 32 square meters or more, anything smaller than that is small indeed (esp if you have two people), beware their double rooms of 25 square meters. . . The second is kind of an issue for me because I like a view and will pay for one, and at this hotel it is hard to get a view, and yet you are paying the same rate as people in other hotels who have lovely views. Finally, I think the Piazza della Repubblica can be noisy, esp at night with the open air restaurants in the piazza. Closed windows and air con can alleviate this, but in nice weather who wants to close their windows? If a view is not important to you, and if you don't think noise will bother you, then I wouldn't be too concerned. At that price, however, I could recco other hotels along the river which are just as nice and which have balconies, river views and/or Duomo views.

If you can AFFORD to stay in the Savoy, in Florence, then DO so and damn the noise and anything else &quot;distracting.&quot;

The Grand Hotel Savoy in Cortina is also very nice!

Sorry...I actually meant the one in Rome. Changed my mind though and am now staying at the LaGriffe. More central to the city, I think.
