Haven't stayed there but I know there have been comments here in the past; try doing a search.
I can vouch for the location, which is excellent. 3 minutes from Piazza San Marco.

Stayed there several years ago. The rooms on the upper floors facing the canals are the best. The rooms are small and decorated Venetian style but the minute you swing open the shutters and have the small canal at your feet, it's just beautiful.
The staff was very friendly. No elevator at that time.
I would definitely stay there again.

Hey There,
I actually stayed there last week and it was not bad. The worst part was finding it. Very bad. Take the vasperetto to Harrys bar and ask for San Moises church and the hotel is not far from there. Or pay for the water taxi and they will bring you right there. We had a vey rough time searching, incorredtly, arund San Marco.

Anyways, after finally finding it, it was fine. The rooms andhallways were very quiet and very well decorated. The breakfasts were included and were decnt. The staff was also friendly. I wold recommend it - especially for the price.

Regarding the location, San MArco can be a bit overwelming during the day but at night it is really nice.

Mark, what was the price you paid? And also, was the room in the new or the old part of the hotel?
