Hotel Room description meaning
What does it mean when the room description says for example double room ca. 28m 2 or 30m 2 etc. the 2 is above the m and small.
28 meters (2, I suppose, is actually 20 centimeters, does it say really only 2 and not 20?). Google for conversion metric to your system. By the way, 28m/30m seems a very large room.
Ooops, small 2 = that square meters but I thought this square thing is universal (??) either meter or yard.
The small "2" means squared: in your examples, the rooms are 28 or 30 square metres in area.
For practical purposes and quick calculations, a square meter is about 10 square feet.
AJPeabody, that is what I always calculate, about 10 sq.ft. But never knew how true that is. Thanks for verifying. I know it is not 100% accurate but close enough. Best regards!

A room of 28 mē is 301 sq.ft.
http://www.vip-site.ch/utilities/umr...onversions.htm is a good conversion website (it's in German though). |
Yes the mē means square meter.
No need for special websites. Type in Google "28 square meters in square feet" and you'll get the answer right away. |
Next, bring a tape measure and determine exactly your room's area. Let us know what you learn.
So, if a room is 20m2 which is 215 square feet would it make it an OK size room.
Well, 215 sq feet is approx 14 X 15 feet (or 10 X 21 feet or 12 X 18, etc) all fairly large spaces for a European hotel room.
pretty simple math . . . . |
