There are no top floor rooms available, and the rate offered is 150 Euros a night for a double - that's more than I expected in January...

Any thoughts?

Also looking (on other thread) for other hotel recommendations in Bologna...

Surlok,
I have just booked into the Hotel San Donato, a well located Best Western, recommended by a friend who visited last year.
The site had a rate of 100 Euros on a double room, BB, which I think is excellent for a hotel of that class and location.
I do have cancellation option so if you know of any other options which may be even better, please let me know.
Thanks for your help.
Kavey

Sorry, Kavey, I' haven't yet been or planned a trip to Bologna. My expertise about the city is limited to my skills, when it comes to browsing Italian web sites. ;-)

Anyway, you found out a very good rate, and as the hotel has been reccomended, it shall be nice as well as nicely located.

have a great time in Bologna,

S

Surlok
You wouldn't believe I'd been using the net for well over 10 years would you? I am usually not too bad at tracking down URLs but had no luck with the Roma!
THanks again for your help, it was much appreciated...

searching Nov 18th, 2002 02:07 AM

I typed in "Hotel Roma, Bologna" on www.google.com and clicked on Search. The first thing I got was the hotel and its email address.

That's what I did too... and same search engine.
It didn't bring the hotel site up for me - just lots of hotel reservation sites with that hotel amongst their list...
Doesn't really matter now, since Surlok was able to help out.
Kavey

searching Nov 18th, 2002 02:29 AM

On the tripadvisor website, I clicked on "Hotel Roma" under "Guidebooks, Frommers". [email protected].

To Searching
I think we've established the URL for the hotel website now, thank you.
However if you are desperate for more searching to do - how about any cool sites on Bologna itself?
I've found the main tourist site and another which has excellent 360 degree pics from various locations in the old town...
PS Would give the URL for that site mentioned above but it's bookmarked at my home PC not here at office...
