Hotel Residence Monge in Paris?

We have reservations at this hotel but the only room they had left was one floor up overlooking the street. Anyone stayed here before? I have seen the reviews at "The Paris Pages" but since there are no dates it's difficult to get a feeling. Also, It looks as if Rue Monge is a fairly big street, is it a really busy one? (Worried about the noise).

Rue Monge is a fairly big street, but not in a terribly busy part of Paris. I walked its length last April and saw hardly a car go by. The street was, however, under construction - MAJOR construction, and though I suspect that construction hs long since been completely, it wouldn't hurt to check. <BR>Be sure to visit the Mosquée de Paris, the Jardin des Plantes, and the Arènes de Lutèces in the immediate neighborhood.

That's one of my favorite areas of Paris, it's an excellent place to stay--central, cafes and restaurants and other shops nearby, not far from tourist sites, good transportation. Rue Monge is no where nearly as big or noisy as some of the major boulevards other people stay on (ie, rue de Rennne, bd St-Michel, bd St-Michel).
