Hotel recommendations for Seville?

We've now decided to spend 5 days in Barcelona and 4 in Seville, and are having trouble figuring out a hotel for Seville. Want something centrally located, no more than 150-200 Euros (the Alfonso is out!). Anyone stayed at a hotel they just loved? I like charming and my husband needs AC. Thanks for any and all suggestions!

We loved Hotel Amadeus. We stayed there last month and paid 90 euros for a superior. It has a/c and it works! www.hotelamadeussevilla.com

Another highly recommended one is Casa Numero 7 - I think it is around 190 euros. www.casanumero7.com. Sounds fabuluous, but we didn't go with it as we were trying to spend less.

We loved Seville - hope you will too!

We did quite a bit of research on Seville hotels and reserved at the Hotel Amadeus. We haven't been yet but it came highly recommended on this board and elsewhere and meets your needs.

We stayed at the Taberna del Alabardero and really liked it. It's small-- only 7 rooms, and charming. The rooms are all decorated differently, and are very nice. The location is unbeatable, IMO-- easy walking to almost anything you want to see. It does have AC.

We had two rooms, one junior suite, and one regular double room, and while both were nice, the junior suite was well worth the extra money. It was quite large, and had a nice sitting area, for around 175Euros.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good.

Thanks for all your great ideas. Will definitely check these places out. If you have recommendations for specific rooms, would love to know!

Amadeus is booked up, but I'm trying the others. Any other rec's would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

This is an old thread, with recommendations of a few hotels in Seville made by Fodors experts in Andalusia, Maribel and Olga.

It will surely help.

Here is a very recent thread with recommendations for hotels in the same price range as the Amadeus.

I agree with Marcy, Taberna del Alabardera was a fabulous small hotel full of Spanish ambiance. The location was great. The view from the roof deck over Seville is etched in my mind's eye. I would choose this hotel again without another thought. The restaurant in the hotel is wonderful and very well known. They also have a high rated branch of this restaurant in Washington DC.
