Hotel recommendations for Italian Riviera - Santa Margherita

Hi, I am travelling to the Italian riviera this summer and I was hoping to get some hotel recommendations for this area. I would love to stay somewhere reasonably nice with a pool.

Does anyone have any suggestions. I have never stayed in this area. Last year I stayed at Hotel Poseidon in Positano. Is there anywhere similar to that hotel there?

Cheers,
F

I don't know your budget, but the Miramare is fantastic, and their pool is heated. It's a grand old-world hotel with all that that implies. They have their own beach across the road. it is likely to be the most $$ in town, though.

We've stayed at the Metropole and enjoyed it. It's a hundred metres or so away from the start of the "promenade" with a small car park. Nice pool too.

I stayed at the Hotel Laurin 2 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it, The location was fabulous, on the waterfront, with a roof top pool. The breakfasts were lovely, the staff most helpful. It was a easy walk to the train station, also to the dock where the cruise boats were stationed.
A very central location and a very pleasant stay. They upgraded me to a room with a terrace overlooking the water which was really nice.

We had a wonderful experience at the Hotel Continental in Santa Margherita Ligure. It's lawns go right down to the sea. Our room had a large terrace with a water view. We appeared to be only non-Europeans there. Excellent breakfasts, dinners.
