We will be there in March. Can anyone suggest from personal experience a nice hotel in this general vicinity??? Around $100 to $150 per night.

Oops... I should add that I meant Buckingham Palace/Westminster ABBEY area.... I don't know if Westminster is that particular neighborhood or not.... my first trip there!!

Check out the Travel Inn in County Hall, located just across the river from Westminster. This also contains a Marriott hotel in the same buidling which for sure will be out of your price range but Travel Inn is reasonable and they have had good reports. They have a web page, search for UK Travel Inn. This is a chain that appears to be sort of like a typical US budget hotel (think Drury Inn, etc).

Try the Sanctuary House Hotel. It is about a block from Westminster Abbey on Tothill. It is owned by Fullers Brewery (www.fullers.co.uk/index2.html) and has a pub/restaurant on the first floor. I stayed there for a week before X-mas and enjoyed it. Clean and modern for the price.
