We just came back from Prague a couple of weeks ago. We stayed in Hotel Nebozizek in the middle of Petrin Hill. (the largest park in the city.)The view alone is worth every penny. You get a suite, a separate bedroom with 4 posters bed and a beautifully furnished sitting room (sofa, winged-back chair) and all rooms facing the incredible view of the whole city including the castle. Truly a sight to behold. The hotel is on the second floor attached to a beautiful 1st class restaurant. The night we stayed there we were plesantly surprised by the Czech prez, his 1st lady and our own 1st lady, Laura Bush dinning in the garden room. It only costs 4500 czk/night, tax and breakfast (fresh hot pastry served to your room) included. Also, we were given complimentary coupon for 1 city walking tour. Unbelievable. You might think it is hard to get to. Not at all, the furnicular takes you right up there for only 12 czk. Once you get down to Lesser town, you can catch a tram. Only thing that they are doing construction right now on the main street of Lesser Town so that Tram 22 is being re-routed. Still no big deal. Walk around it or walk to the bridge through Kampa. You will love it.

KKC, I can't pull up any information on the Hotel Nebozezik. Do you have a web site address for them? Also, do you have a hotel recommendation for Cesky Krumlov?

Looks like you might have already found the website. Just in case you didn't, try Nebozizek.com We did not have any reservation in Cesky Krumlov. In fact, we arrived there at 6 p.m. and got the last room in town during a very busy weekend. Europeans do have more holidays than we do. So watch out. The room was nice and clean, a little spartan and small. It is a 10 mins. walk from town but the owner is very, very nice. And it is only US $30 (B+T included). If you want to contact her, you can let me know. Otherwise, get to town earlier and go to Info center. If you must book ahead, try using a web site I used, www.interacta.cz

Wouldn't go past the Mala Strana area, really handy for most things.<BR>Depends what you want from a hotel but check out the web site for the Hotel Constans in Bretislavova near the castle and American Embassy. www.ABAKA.cz
