Hotel Recommendation in Nerja, Spain

Hello,

I'm looking for a hotel recommendation in Nerja Spain for $250 or less per night located as close to the beach as possible for me, DM, and DD (15). Several I have seen say close to the beach in the description, but I'm wondering if anyone has any personal experience with a hotel in this location.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

When do you want to go there ? Be advised that the sewage treatment plant is only starting to be built now. It was supposed to be ready by this summer, but there were delays. I wouldn't swim there as the crap now goes out to sea.

Thanks Bedar. I saw a few posts on other sites that people had recently gone and it was ok, but I've had trouble finding updated, recent information. We're planning on going in mid-June. We want a few nights in a town where we can go to the beach. We are spending time in cities as well, but wanted to include one or two beach days.

Any suggestions on a better town for this?

I like Nerja but I do not go into the water.

I suggest moving a few km down to Torrox Costa. Because of the large number of German tourists in Torrox Costa, there's a "Little Germany" district there. It's a good chance to practice your German.

There's also Malaga. Beaches, Roman ruins, and a few good hammams.

Take a look at Almuñecar some 10 miles east of Nerja. http://www.almunecartoday.com/
