hotel recommendation in Florence, Italy
My hsband and I will have 3-4 days in Florence. We would like a smaller hotel or b and b for under $200 per night with breakfast included in the historic area unless you have other suggestions! Would love to have recommendations for a hotel as well as any other advice for Florence. Thanks!

We stayed several years ago and liked it. Looks like it’s about 150 euro/night so within your budget. I remember we could stick our head out the window and see the Doumo a couple blocks down the street. We walked from the train station, very centrally located. https://www.palazzo-ruspoli.it/ |
I think the area between Santa Maria Novella station and the Duomo is a practical and convenient choice for Florence. Hotel Paris 3* and the budget Hotel Balcony 2* are both good choices.

Years ago, my daughter studied in Florence and when I visited, we stayed at the Relais Cavalcanti. a very charming little 'hotel', at Via Pellicceria, 2. It occupies one floor of a building located near the Uffizi gallery, in a very good central location.
Home « Relais Cavalcanti Guest House Florence The Relais Cavalcanti building has been in the same family's ownership for 100+ years, the owner/manager of the new-ish Relais is Francesca. She said she inherited this one floor of the building, so she recently renovated it to create a little hotel. It was relatively new when we visited, with beautiful tile bathrooms, showers, etc. The rooms are very charming, and good-sized. You have the feeling of entering a very nice, private Italian home, when you unlock the Relais door and smell the potpourri set out on the beautiful tables in the hallway and entry way. It has a small elevator and a/c, too. No breakfast is served, but even better I think is that they have a beautiful little dining room/kitchen that is open 24/7 for guests. You have always available the makings for coffee, hot chocolate and tea, plus containers of pre-wrapped pastries and dessert cakes. That's about as much as you get in any Italian B&B for breakfast, and this way you can serve yourself whenever. And the room is open 24/7, so you can bring in our own wine/cheese, etc. to enjoy there. (The Relais Cavalcanti is located above a pub, which can be busy at night, but the hotel has great soundproof windows with shutters.) |
Thanks!
Thanks I will check all these out!
