Hotel Recommendation for 3 in Edinburgh

Wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a nice, centrally located hotel in Edinburgh that can accomodate 3 in a room, 2 adults and a teen.

Travelodge, St Mary's Street, dirt cheap if you book in advance, 2 excellent restaurants face it & it's spitting distance from the Royal Mile

For bangs per buck you can't beat it.

We really liked the Christopher North. Big room with 3 beds. Nice hotel, well located, nice owner.

What is your budget?

The Travelodge and Christopher North recommended above are about as far apart in type/cost as is possible.

(I personally prefer the location of the Travelodge)

Be staying at Travelodge this July for 2 nights. We just booked last weekend and got a family room. Great central location especially for kids.

Mount Royal Hotel right on Princes Street, can't be the location!

If you want 3 beds, they you should really check into the family rooms at the Radisson on the Royal Mile. We got a large room with 1 king bed and two standard double beds for £140. If you can sleep 2 in one bed, then a regular double room would be a little cheaper. The location of the Radisson can't be beat.

We are not on a tight budget, but don't want to go crazy either. We want good location and maybe something a little special. Does this help at all? With the weak dollar, I am not really sure what to expect to pay anymore! Thanks everyone for your advice!

21 Hanover Street was grand and very good location. Just there last month with 3 teens...looks just like the pictures. We had the 2 bedroom flat which was large and very comfortable.

"Does this help at all? " Not really ;)

You must have some idea of your budget. What one person considers "reasonable" could be totally outrageous to someone else . . . . .

Hi rcgdenver, I have not been there personally but yes, I think I can contribute to the discussion. I see that you have already got some suggestions on the board but if you need some help to make the choices wider then check out http://www.sletoh.com/r5677.html .
This will help you to make your doubts more clear and have a better choice.

Happy Journey
