Hotel rec for Strasbourg, France

We (2 mature adults) plan to spend 2 nights in Strasbourg, France, before moving on to the middle Rhine in Germany. We are looking for a hotel that is clean, comfortable and centrally located. We'll be traveling by train. Timing: early September. Price range: 130 ~ 160 Euro per night.
Thanks in advance.

I've stayed at both Hotel de Rohan and Hotel Gutenberg, and liked them both a lot. Both are very central; the Rohan is just across the street from the cathedral, and the Gutenberg is a very short walk.

Another vote for the Hannon--easy walk from the train station and five minutes to the Cathedral. A really lovely hotel.

Oops--it's Hannong, of course. Sorry for the typo. We were there for five nights in September and just loved it.

Stayed at Hotel Gutenberg and agree that the staff and rooms were great. It is close to all the major tourists attractions as well.

I stayed at the Hotel de l'Europe in the Petite France area and really loved it, and it is walkable from the train station, and not far to the Cathedral, either. I really would not have wanted to be right around the cathedral, very noisy and even if you got a room that wasn't, it just seemed too hectic to me. Of course it is about the main attraction in the city, so what do you expect, I never want to stay in a hotel right next to the main attraction in any city.

Hotel Hannong was a very good location, I almost booked there for that reason.

Hotels in Strasbourg are very reasonable in price, I think.

Frankly, I really like the Ibis directly across from the train station, because it has the magical view of the train station encased in its glass bubble at night. It is also convenient to the tram line that will take you anywhere else in town.
