Hotel Raphael
Has anyone been there recently who can update me on the superior rooms? Have reservations there next month great rate of
150 euros (we need 2 rooms and definately 2 bathrooms) have read all the reviews on trip advisor and here, all are so mixed. I know it will not be luxurious, but will it be like sleeping in a closet? It appears that most hotels in Rome offer a "classic" or "standard" room which are around 20 sqm. I know the Del Senato gets great reviews, but they appear to have small rooms as well. I am attracted to the Raphael for its location, my two daughters 15 & 25 love to shop and I thought it would be a great spot. Any thoughts on the Boscolo Palace? Open for suggestions! Thanks |
You would receive much better responses if you would name the city along with the hotel in your header. There are many Hotel Raphael's in Europe.
This is probably why you have posted the same question twice in two days and have received zero response. Everything goes on the European Board. There are no country specific boards. Curious |
I thought I posted it on the Italy thread. Does anyone know how to move it over? That's why I posted twice, I could not find it on the Italy site. Thanks

I don't know, I opened the post thinking it was about a different hotel Raphael. I would think anyone who stayed there would notice the heading and might respond, so don't know why no responses, but Rome might have helped.
IN any case, for context, I was struck by you saying their std. rooms are 20 sq meters and you consider that too small. That is a very good sized double room in European capitals, and a reasonable rate for Rome. A lot of mid-range Parisian hotels have std. rooms that are 11-13 sq meters, so I think 20 is very good. That's a decent sized room (eg, 4x5 meters), it's over 12x15 feet as a meter is more than 3 feet. Were you thinking the Raphael is a lot smaller than that? |
FYI, there is no Italy thread. Look at the left of the board -- you see only "europe" at the top of posts no matter what you search on. You won't see "Italy" on Fodors front forum page as a choice, either.
I don't know how you searched, but you can't find posts by search words within a short time of posting as they aren't catalogued yet. Your post is definitely there as you can always find your own posts by clicking on your own name. |
DianeL,
There's no "Italy" forum; everything goes under the Europe heading. The country names are just for cross-reference purposes. |
