Hotel Poseidon in Positano - Funny rooms??

Hi All,
We are looking at booking a room at the hotel poseidon for five nights while we are in positano and I am trying to decide b/w the funny room or the superior room? Does anyone have advice on which is better? The funny room is $100 eur less for the total stay which I thought was odd cause it looks like you will have the best views from it with the rooftop terrace?
Thanks!

I'll be interested in the replies. My family is booked into two family rooms for June. I reserved it based on the terraces. We have stayed at The Poseidon twice before in a superior room, which is a bit larger, but has a fairly small balcony overlooking town/beach.

I'll be interested in the replies. We are booked into a Funny suite and Funny room in June for our family. The hotel tells me that these rooms have the largest terraces available, and that they are fairly private.

This will be our third visit to the hotel. We have stayed in a superior room, which is larger than the funny room ( I think) with a small balcony overlooking town.

Are the balconys with the superior rooms ok? I just want us to have a great view and a nice place to sit and have wine in the sunshine and at night. Maybe I should switch to the funny room. The only thing I would be concerned about is we will be there in july so it might be too hot to sit up there in the day even if we wanted to?

Of course it depends on the particular angle of the balcony and the sun. One of our superior rooms had more sun than the other. Positano IS very hot in July, but a large terrace could be lovely in the morning hours and again in the late afternoon/evening.

We had a classic room and the people we were traveling with had a superior. One of them was actually miffed on checkout to find our room had cost less than theirs. They had been in our room and didn't think their room and view were worth more than our room.

My only advice is to be sure to have at least one meal there. The food is great.
