Hotel Phoenix or Copenhagen Strand??

Hi I think I am down to these two hotels. including breakfast..The Strand does have a sea view.. but the Phoenix has a bathtub :) Four nights late fifties couple. thanks!!

Not sure why you would want a sea view in Copenhagen. Exactly where is the hotel versus the main sights.

Also would check on the tub - in some of the older european hotels they an be interesting to say the least (I've had some where you needed to climb several steps to get in and out.

The Strand is close to Nyhavn...my other thought is Babette Guldsmeden however they are non refundable only and this is for next June.

I seem to have looked at them all! Its so confusing when a negative review is thrown in there.

CPH lIving does look fun too and First Hotel SKT Petri

I'd head south west a bit more, but it depends a bit on what floats your boat. If your objective is the Gardens then not a bad place, for the Tivoli, not so good.

A view from the Copenhagen Strand hotel will be very nice and it's in a good location, walking distance to Nyhavn and the old centre of Copenhagen. You can walk easily to the shops, Tivoli Gardens, Glyptotek etc. I've had sea view rooms at the Marriott and the Copenhagen Island Hotel and it's always nice to have a view.

The Phoenix is also in a great location, I really like the street that it is on. There are some nice expensive antique shops and a poster shop right at the end (I drive so it might a bit far for you to walk) and a Russian Orthodox Church. I don't think you can go wrong with either choice and I wouldn't be concerned about the tub possibly being old, hotels do get renovated and steps in/out of a bath would be a health and safety issue I would think.

I once went to the Phoenix witha reservation for another Phoenix 300 kms from there. At midnight. They did their best to accommodate me and book a train to get me where I was supposed to be.
I slept in a very tiny room but superb and very clean. Hotel made a big impression on me and I have always said I would go back.
