Hotel Pendini in Florence - Has anyone stayed here?
 

Made reservations for Oct for the Pendini and I'm interested in any comments you may have if you have stayed in this hotel. Thanks.

We stayed at the Pendini in the past and liked it. It has a good location, is clean, nice staff but may be noisy at times and it appears that rates have soared. If you make a search on Pendini in this Forum you'll see some negative comments. Although just about all prices are presently somewhat inflated in Italy, I don't think that a double in the Pendini in October is worth more than Lit 230,000. <BR> <BR>Paulo <BR> <BR>

I am also contemplating Hotel Pendini for a November stay. The price goes down to 190,000 per night. I'm hesitant about making the reservation because of all of the negative comments on this sight. The other hotel I am contemplating is Hotel Bellettini for 180,000 per night. I'd also appreciate any other comments so that I can make the right choice as quickly as possible.

Diane <BR> <BR>I would strongly suggest you consider Hotel Ritz. Their listed rates for November are Lit 190,000/double. If that's indeed so, I wouldn't think twice (at least regarding the Pendini and the Belletini ... no terms of comparison). The Ritz is right on the Arno in one of the most exclusive areas in Florence. Its very near Santa Croce. Your strolls to Piazza della Signoria and the Duomo will be somewhat longer but it's certainly worth it. Since we stayed there many years ago, unfortunately their high season rates have been over our budget. Their low season rates, though, are a piece of cake and we would certainly go back. <BR> <BR>Paulo <BR> <BR>

During the summer I would never go to the Pendini hotel. The hotel is in piazza della Repubblica, where every night there are several sources of different music (from an outside café, from peruvian gropus, from a clown with speakers and so on). As these shows go on untile very late at night, it may be a problem to rest and sleep.

Thanks for the great information. I've decided to cancel my reservations - I thought they were too much anyhow.
