Hotel Near Venice Airport
 

Have to catch an 11AM flight out of Venice and need a hotel the evening before-on way from Rome Port (Civitavecchia) to Venice. Do not have to be in Venice. Can I get a train from the Port city to Venice or do I have to go in to Rome? Thanks

you have to change trains at least once at Roma Termini.

We just returned from Italy on Saturday and we had an 11 am flight out of Venice as well. We ended up spending the night before in Padua. There is a public bus that goes from Padua to Marco Polo airport. It takes about an hour (I think) and its about 5 euro. Or, there is a shuttle service that will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the airport. We used this service and it cost 43 euro for DH and me. It only took about 1/2 hour to get us to the airport. We decided to stay in Padua so that we could spend a few hours in a city that we'd never been to before and it was a little bit cheaper than Venice. Plus, it seems that there are very few hotels near the airport. Good luck!

Looks like you're asking:

1) If there is transport available from Civitavecchia to Venice, since you're disembarking from a cruise ship in Civitavecchia and

2)you have a flight/plane to board the next day, at 11 AM, from the Marco Polo airport, and need a hotel somewhere close to the airport for this overnight stay.
