We stayed at the Hotel Du Louvre when we went last June. I loved it. It was perfect for us. I had a suite with a connecting room for our two girls that was 50% off. The breakfast which was included in our rate was our daughter's favorite meal! The location was great - the rooms were clean, large and comfortable. We had a corner room over looking the Lourve.
Because we were only in Paris a few nights I did not rent an apartment.
The hotel arranged our car pick up from the airport which went fabulous - and when our flight was delayed and we did not arrive until a day late - they were gracious and did not charge us for the night
(only with a few hours notice).

Hopefully this will help other posters. Last summer we stayed at the Britannique for almost a week. Loved it! And if you join the vonjourparis.com premium membership, which is about $35 for the year, you can get 10% off at the Britannique. We had 2 rooms, so that discount really helped! The hotel is beautiful though, and we loved the location. We are headed back in a year, and while we will most likely stay in an apartment, we will definitely stay here for our last night.
