hotel near Munich airport
 

Can anyone recommend a cheap (under $100, or there abouts) hotel near the Munich airport. We'll just need to lay our head there for about 8 hrs before we leave for home.

Check with priceline. I looked on biddingfortravel.com and noticed that the 4* Marriott Airport was going from anywhere between $53 to $65 per night. With taxes & fees, probably about $75.

If you've never used priceline, it can be a little tricky, but I use it all the time and have gotten great deals. ((b))

Two years ago, during Octoberfest, we stayed at the Grand Kempinski for about $115. I found the special rate buried on the Grand Kempinski website.

I too stayed at the Kempinski and got a very good rate, although it was a weekend night. It's a nice upscale hotel that couldn't be more convenient. It's worth trying.
