Hotel near Central Station Milan

Can anyone recommend a good, cheap hotel near Central Station in Milan? I have booked the Berna for my first night in Italy (early August) and need to book something for my last night (late August). Should I book the Berna for then too - or does anyone have a better hotel to suggest? I want to spend around 85 Euros or less.

There are loads of hotels near the station so you're spoilt for choice. In August it's low season in Italy so you will easily get something for €85 & most probably for less. Try the Orbitz reservation site they're usually very good for Italy. also edreams are good.

Try the new Hotel Gonzaga-on the third floor of a building 50 meters from Centrale. You can get a really nice DOUBLE for single use for all of US 68.00 a night on both venere.com, or expedia.com,-but it's considerably more expensive if you book through the hotel's website.

I happen to think this place is a real find-and I'm sharing it-something I don't normally do!

Thanks Girlspy. I've just booked the Gonzaga through Venere.com (as Expedia had a booking fee that it didn't tell me about until the last moment and this made it much more expensive).

Ha! Something told me you were going to do that! (well, the secret is out...)
