As flanner wrote.

OP first wrote : Municipality fee of 22euro/person/night will be collected at hotel" : meaning €22 per person

Then,
> Municipality Fee of 18.00 EUR "OR" Per Person/Night

There, I understand €18 is for the whole party and for the whole stay. You can ask the hotel for the detailed amount of tax, per night, per adult and per child (of which age). When there are a few persons and the stay is more than a night, total amount €18/22 seems nothing surprising.

LOL about my account not being real- what an odd assumption???
Im sorry I got 18 confused with 22!
Anyways- it DOES say 18 euro PER PERSON PER NIGHT- which times 10 nights would be 180 euros PER PERSON- at least thats the way it reads to me-
But I did find the hotels emails so hopefully I will get an accurate response from them-
Thank you to everyone who was so helpful!!

Where is the hotel is question?
If you tell us that then someone here maybe able to confirm the tourist tax for you.

I got a response from the hotel in Paris & they said those taxes had been paid already with the total price thank God- but the one with the above statement I copied & pasted was from "Trinity bed & breakfast" in Rome.

Perhaps the OP is unfamiliar with the fact that Europeans use a comma, not a decimal point - perhaps it reads 1,8 or 2,2 and she is thinking that means 18 and 22. Just a thought.

Look, Daughter of the King, It says Municipality Fee of 18.00 EUR *OR* Per Person/Night that is not taxable - City Tax 2 Euro per person per night". You obviously booked through a site that has hotels in places where there is a Municipality Fee that is a percentage of the hotel price as well as in places that have a Per Person/Night fee.

Rome has a per person/night fee as explained: "City Tax 2 Euro per person per night". So 2 Euro x (presumably) 3 people x 3 nights = 18 Euro total.

So there is no reason to badger the B&B.

Wow I have never been on a forum where the responders (some) are so rude. Obviously I dont know much about Europe, which is the reason I'm posting on here- to gain understanding of whats going on. Thank you again for everyone who helped without an attitude- I do appreciate all of the information I did get- but I'll just stick with reading instead of posting from now on..

DaughterOfTheKing obviously missed the *or* even though Zerlina pointed it out again. Reading more thoroughly is recommended before screaming murder.

A lot of the people here bite the first time, and then they just nibble if the questions are phrased more carefully.

I have a nasty bite myself sometimes, but you didn't set me off, DOTK. :-p
