Hotel Muguet already book, now I will try Grand Hotel Balcons.

I thought that I was booking our hotels in a reasonable amount of time, but the Muguet is booked for our dates in late May. I was disappointed but I know there are plenty of other hotels in Paris in the same price range. I have seen some good reviews on the Grand Hotel Balcons so I have emailed them with our reservation details. For those who are familiar with these hotels, are they comparable in terms of size, cleanliness, etc? If this hotel is booked then I will be asking for your advice again. I'm hoping this one will be a charm!

I'm going to the Balcons starting on Thursday and will report back late next week. I've never read a bad thing about it.
Have you checked www.tripadvisor.com as well as searching on it here by name?

Have stayed at both hotels.
Muguet has updated rooms and in my opinion better than Balcons but Balcons wins hands down on their breakfast buffet and is superior to many ** hotels including Muguet.

Hello! Thanks everyone for your responses! I haven't yet heard from Grand Hotel des Balcons so hopefully they will have availability. I have considered the Bonaparte too, but I wish you could book online. Sometimes it is inconvenient to get to a fax machine. MAC1, I will check out some of your recs.
