Thanks

It is a terrific value for the money, newly renovated (2 years), squeaky clean, on a quiet street equidistant from 2 major Metro stops, near 5 bus lines, near rue cler where you can go for a cafe breakfast if you don't have breakfast in their attractive room, within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower, Les Invalides,Rodin Museum, near an incredible number of very good and reasonable restaurants. We like it.

I was just about to say exactly the same as Travelnut...

Karen, I just booked a stay at the Muguet for September based on great reviews and fellow Fodorites' recommendations. I have heard that it's an "oasis" in central Paris, and it's just a block from my favorite area -- Rue Cler.

I've stayed there several times - it is in my favorite area to stay. The hotel is a very good value - comfortable, safe - the bathrooms are excellent.

Muguet is an excellent choice. We stayed there in April, 2002. Staff very pleasant, good location, great room with view of the Eiffel Tower, not too hard on the budget. I would highly recommend it.

Need some advice on Hotel Muguet. I've made a reservation for my family. Two rooms promised on the same floor. I sent them my credit card. Now I've written twice with follow up questions and haven't heard back. From everything I read here, it sounds like a wonderful place to stay.
Should I be nervous not hearing back? Should I call?

The owner responded to me twice via email within 24 hours and was very cordial. This was yesterday.

Who in particular did you write to and to what email address?
Maybe I'm writing to the wrong place -----

There is a link to the hotel's email address on their website. The owner, Catherine Pelletier, replies to all emails. At least her name is signed on all replies.

Thank you. Maybe that is the problem - I've been sending mine by replying to the confirmation I received from them. In any event, I'll write directly to her at the hotel address. Hopefully, all is still OK with our reservation.
