Hotel Muguet

I have heard very good things about this hotel but I can't seem to find any nice pictures. The ones I find make it seem quite average at best. Is it really clean, do these pictures give it justice?

Did you see the photos at www.france-hotel-guide.com? Go to Paris hotels and then the 7th. I don't know how much more you could ask of a two star at those prices! Any two star hotel will not be luxurious.

We stayed there 2 years ago and it was very clean. The elevator was almost funny in that it was so tiny that it held one person and a suitcase. The rooms were comfortable. Some are more spacious that others. Our bathroom had just been remodeled and was spotless.

We stayed there twice last year and they have completed their renovation. It is SQUEAKY clean. If you can get a reservation do it. It is extremely popular not only with tourists but business people. Travel operators often send their people there when in Paris I understand--pretty good recommendation. Elevators in most small European hotels are tiny.

I stayed there April of 2000 for 8 nights and it was great! Had just been renovated. Room was small, but we had an in-room safe, very spacious bathroom, although the opening to the shower was very narrow. Location is superb. And I believe in eating breakfast somewhere on Rue Cler. I would stay again. Oh, yes, and a view of the Eiffel Tower. You'll either get that or the view of the Invalides. Both are good!

We got 2 people & 2 suitcases in the elevator. Pretty typical for over there. (I've seen much worse...and I'm claustrophobic)

We stayed there in April for eight nights and were very pleased. The room was spotless and pleasantly decorated, and everything was in good repair. Our room was larger than we expected. We had a view of the street though, not Invalides or the Tower as someone mentioned above.

I don't think you could ask any more from a "budget" hotel.

Well, I must miss Paris more than I thought. I was there in April of 2001--not 2000. It just seems like forever!
