HOTEL MARMORATA RAVELLO
Has anyone stayed here?
the webpage doesn't contain a lot of picture or information.....
it doesn't look like there are any terraces and I'd really like a hotel with a terrace/view.

Any help is appreciated!
thanks

It is not really in Ravello. It is on the coast road well below the town but is still a nice hotel--only the mailing address is Ravello.

It is actually considered to be in Vietri Sul Mare (spelling?). My Italian relative considers this to be the most beautiful area of the coast. I am not sure when you want to go but it is usually difficult to get a reservation and it is very pricey. Why not try Tritone?

going first week of October (ish)
Tritone? don't know of this hotel
do you have a webpage for them?

thanks!

any other recommendations in the area (ravello, positano, etc) for under $150 USD.

Thanks!
My husband and I stayed there in May, 2001. It's a wonderful hotel. The rooms are nice-sized with nice furnishings. The hotel staff were very friendly. The little down town down the road, Minori, has some great restaurants. The pool at the bottom of the cliff is great and there is access for "sea bathing". We loved it and had a great time. The only downside is the hotel isn't located in a city - it's about 1/2 mile down the road, which is not very pedestrian-friendly. We had a rental car so it wasn't a problem. I understand there is a shuttle bus that travels along the coast, which might help.

We're booked @ Marmorata for 12/10/02 for 2 nights, rate of 175 euro per night. I decided on this hotel after good reviews and rec'm from people I know. So hopefully its as nice and comfy as stated by other fodor posters.
We'll have car so I thought the location was good for us.
