Hotel Margherita in Praino - anyone stayed there?
Hello!
I'm trying to decide if the Hotel Margherita in Praino would be a good place to stay. We'll be there 3 nights in October- coming in from Rome and the hotel site looks great. Got a great rate of 106E for a Superior Double. Has anyone stayed there? Is it too remote? We will not be having a car. My other option would be to stay in Positano - at California, Viall Rosa or Casa Albertina. Thanks! |
pattytravel,
I haven't stayed there, but I could recommend another in Praiano - Le Sirene***. They have a web site. Very nice and quiet, some rooms with private terrace/patio. Good breakfast, excellent owners. If you stay in Praiano, be sure to have dinner at La Brace! Buon viaggio! |
Hi PT,
Good suggestion from Dayle. http://lesirene.com/ Room 12 has a large private balcony with a beautiful view. See my trip report: Ira’s Trip Report (Italy 2003) http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...2&tid=34451044 Enjoy your visit. ((I)) |
nice trip report, Ira. The website for Le Sirene looks kinda iffy, esp. in comparison to Margherita.
Made note about Dayles restaurant suggestion - thanks to both |
Hey PT,
>The website for Le Sirene looks kinda iffy,< Do you also judge books by their covers? :) ((I)) |
Hi,
I do not know the Hotel Margherita, but I have stayed at the Tramonto d'oro in Praiano. It is a lovely hotel that is family run. It has a fabulous roof top pool and a great breakfast terrace. Look at this hotel. You will have a wonderful trip. Yipper http://www.tramontodoro.it/ |
yes, ira, at times I do judge books by their covers!! LOL

patty,
I stayed at Le Sirene on Ira's recommendation from his trip report. I really loved it. I've never looked at the Mergherita, so I'll check out their web site out of curiosity. |
