Hotel Lux,Venice

Does anybody out there has any input regarding Hotel Lux in Venice? They seem to have terrific rates!

Hi WR,
Are you still around here on the board? Did you ever stay at the Hotel Lux?
Has anyone stayed there? It's a 3star and seems very reasonable. We have booked in for April but now I am a little worried because they seem to have given us the out of season rates, unlike all the other hotels who put their rates up at the beginning of April. At first I overlooked the hotel because they don't have much info on the venere site, then I found the Lux on http://www.veniceby.com/lux/pages/booking.htm
and here there are nice pictures and much more info and it looks quite good. I would be very grateful if someone could give me some more info/ personal experiences. We will be spending 4 nights there and it is our first visit to Venice so I would hate to end up in an awful hotel.
Thanks.

We were pleasantly surprised with our 110 Euro double room with canal view at Antica Locanda Gambero. The only downside was no elevator. Everything else was great.

Thanks madmax, I'll keep that in mind if we decide to change our resavation. Your hotel is E190 per night when we are there and the Lux has only charged us E80 per night pp. No canal view though!
Thanks for your input :-)
