Hotel Londres Eiffel in Paris?

Hi,
Does anyone have any feedback about this hotel? I'm looking at it for an April/May trip. My husband and I would be there for about a week. I don't think I've seen it reviewed anywhere except in Rick Steves books. My luck with his recommendations is good enough to keep me reading them, but not quite good enough to go on his word alone! Thank you for your help!

Hasn't received great reviews - here are what some people said:
Hotel de Londres Eiffel-
rooms are small by US hotel standards
friendly and helpful staff
no elevator in rear building; front yes.
OK amentities
found it barely acceptable.
"tacky"
For more Paris information e-mail me: [email protected]

Thank you; however, I'm afraid these comments lack value to me. I don't know the context of the comments (who made them, when they were made), so I don't really believe they are useful for decision-making purposes. Maybe I should rephrase my post: Does anyone have first-hand knowledge of this hotel? As in, you've stayed there personally? Thanks in advance to all.

I'm topping this b/c I'm also interested in feedback for this hotel. Read it was recently renovated; not put off by 'small rooms' comments...

Here's Fred again posting third hand information that's outdated. Be sure to e-mail Fred, though, for more outdated information and his plea to send him $10 for it.
