HOTEL LE WALT, PARIS

24 May 2004
HOTEL LE WALT, PARIS

My wife and I recently spent 9 nights at the Hotel Le Walt. We stayed in a deluxe room on the 5th floor. We requested a quiet room and our large windows opened onto a charming court yard with a view like Utrillo painted and with an owl sounding in the morning to greet us. The room was very stylish with lovely decorations in a modern style, an extremely comfortable & nearly queen sized bed, deluxe toilet facilities, plenty of natural and artificial light, and very quiet. The room size was perfect for 2 persons. The storage space was limited but adequate. The phone service was excellent. We were assisted in every request by an attractive and competent staff. When we arrived, we were offered hot tea while we sat on a sofa in the lobby as our room was prepared and our bags were taken up. Every detail was carried out to perfection. The desk staff spoke excellent English. The surrounding area offered all the necessities -- the metro was very close, several cafes, a grocery store, laundry services, shopping on the charming rue Cler. We highly recommend this modern and excellent hotel.

This sounds like a wonderful hotel. Do you mind telling us how much it cost?

Thanks for the great review of this lovely hotel. Did you happen to dine in the restaurant and if so, how was your experience? Looks like a place I'd like to try in October. Many thanks in advance!

Does anyone know anything about the Villa d'Estrees? It's in the Latin Qtr. and related to Residence des Arts. They are quoting me an attractive low season winter rate for a deluxe room measuring 45 sq. meters.

Sorry about that message!

I meant to ask is there a direct website address for Hotel Le Walt?
