Hotel Le Ste Beuve or Grandes Ecoles

Does anyone know anything about Hotel Le Ste Beuve in the 7th, right next to Luxemborg Garden? I have read mostly positive comments about Grandes Ecoles but Ste Beuve looks more comfortable on the website. Comments or suggestions?

Just a small point ... Le Ste Beuve is actually in the 6th.

Have not been able to get reservations at either hotel, though I've tried! There is some positive feedback here re Le Ste Beuve; if you haven't already done so, you can find it via a text search for "beuve".

The area is great; you'll enjoy yourself wherever you end up.

I know nothing about Le Ste Beuve, but I can give a solid endorsement of the Grandes Ecoles, where we stayed for 2 weeks in May.

Both of these hotels are highly popular. I inquired about reservations for this fall at both hotels way back in May. The Grandes Ecoles has a rigid schedule that they follow to reserve rooms. They will not be able to offer any rooms until three months before your scheduled arrival date, something like that. Le Ste. Beuve fills up quickly also. So you need to reserve months in advance at both hotels to ensure the room you want.

As for location I would choose either one but I have heard that the Grandes Ecoles is located on a street that is a bit hilly. If you do not care for TV then you'll like Grandes Ecoles. The Ste. Beuve is in the 6th district but it's closeby to the Luxembourg Gardens. I believe either one is a good choice.
