Hotel Le Renaie in San Gimignano, Tuscany--any one stayed there?
Please let me know of your experience at Hotel Le Renaie in Tuscany. We plan to travel in Tuscany in early September and are looking for a good central location for (our first) five day tour of the area. We prefer countryside hotels rather than urban locations.
Thanks!

We stayed at Villa San Paolo which is a few minute drive from Le Renaie. Great place. We ate two dinners at Le Reanie which were quite good and reasonable. Do not know anything about hotel proper.
We were there for only three days an regret not having spent more time in San Gimignano.
I have a map of the Tuscany area which I received at no charge from Monternaldi Winery.([email protected])
Nice map!

San Gimignano is a fantastic place. We've stayed in various hotels and on some occasions taken an apartment in town. There are many hotels and farmhouses all around the town as well.
Go to their website, www.sangimignano.com
and you'll find a wealth of information about the town, hotels, restaurants, history, etc. We go back every year and find it truly magical. It's one place that's hard to leave.

Anthony: I have booked 3 nights at Hotel Le Renaie in July. The people on the phone have been very nice, and the price can not be beat. I wanted some place with air-conditioning, a swimming-pool, and garden, and since we have a car, I liked its location. I will post comments on the accomodations upon my return. Nonetheless, I would like to hear more from others on this place.

Has anyone taken Pippo's suggestion and booked through www.tuscany.net? I want to book through them but don't know anyone who has and i'm a little leary.
