Hotel Le Regent vs Millesime

Lexma90, I'm hopeful you'll see this as I think you've stayed at both. This area of the 6th is my favorite. I know both these hotels are good but I'd love to hear anything someone might tell me to help make my decision. This will be a trip for my daughter's family and myself next summer. It's a chance to introduce my grandson, 12, and granddaughter, 9, to Paris and of course I want them both to love it! Would love some help.

Just realized I completely forgot to say "in Paris" .. Millesime on rue Jacob and Le Regent on rue Dauphine, both in the 6th.

I have stayed at the Regent, and loved it, the location is perfect. I booked a standard room as I was going solo, then a friend decided to join me so I booked the deluxe room. Thank goodness. Our room was a reasonable size, and the bathroom was lovely .. but having poked my head into a standard room the maid was making up I saw how very much smaller it was,, and I am used to small rooms in Paris. So, I would totally book and stay at the Regent again, but only if I could book the deluxe room.

We really enjoyed having all the little cafes and a market right outside the door( plus there is an ATM literally 10 feet from the front door, so easy to stock up on cash and return bulk of it to the hotel room). The a/c worked well, the mini fridge was good to store drinks and snacks in etc.

I have not stayed at the Millesime, but have heard it is nice also, so for me, I would book the least expensive one.

Justineparis, thanks so much for your response. In the end, I did choose Le Regent .. such a toss up, no bad decision either way with those two. Bookings now completed and confirmed. One step closer to Paris and the Dordogne!

I have considered staying at Le Regent, as I love that area.
Please let us know how you liked it when you return. Thanks.

Stayed a few times at the Millesime and really liked it, but I love Rue Jacob. Our room was quite spacious. I really like the Danube ., , staff is great and the rooms are large. Prices are equal. they have connecting rooms wir=th a shared bath is=f there are more than 2 going.
