Hotel Le Regent or Le Fleurie, Paris?
 

I'll be in Paris for two weeks in April /May. Have booked a hotel in the 7th for the first 9 days,as I've never stayed there and wanted to give it a try. I love St. Germain, too,
but II usually stay closer to Luxembourg Gardens or Montparnasse.

Anyway, has anyone stayed at either of these two hotels, and would you recommend?
Of course I've poured over Trip Advisor. Many say don't get a standard room at Le Regent-
too small. But can be noisy in the larger rooms in front. I'll be solo this trip, and I don't stay out late! The Fleurie has some mixed reviews. They both have availability at this point,
but I need to make up my mind. Price is about the same for both, although Le Regent has
complimentary breakfast. Any advice?

Haven't stayed at either, but based on the "real" photos and GoogleMaps, I would vote for Le Fleurie. The neighborhood will be much more quiet, and the decor looks a little more updated than Le Regent.
Though the idea of having breakfast in your hotel is attractive, IMO it's much nicer to step into a nearby cafe and enjoy the neighborhood - usually costs the same or less than what the hotel would charge. Maybe it's just me, but I am just not that crazy about eating in basements...

We have stayed at the Regent and have visited friends staying at Fleurie. Our stays and visits were some years ago but both are nice hotels and well located. The standard rooms at Fleurie are larger and the street is very quiet. If either makes a difference to you, I would choose Fleurie.

Stayed at Le Fleurie some time ago and it was quiet. No complaints and well located to the Metro.

As far as breakfast, not sure it really matters if it is included. More fun, to me, to grab a pain au chocolat on the way to shop or a visit a museum. Not expensive.

Thanks for the replies. Quiet street does matter to me!. And the larger room would be nicer - especially since I've heard how very small the standard rooms are at Regent. But there are a lot of positive reviews about the hotel in general. Anybody else with experiences at either?

We stayed at the Fleurie a few years ago and really liked it. We only value a room to sleep in, so are usually fine with most hotels. Their staff was efficient and friendly. Breakfasts were better than most, although we usually go somewhere else for Breakfast
