Hotel Le Madison vs Hotel Verneuil In Paris

I'm sorry to bother everyone with the hotel dilemma again, but have narrowed it down to these 2 hotels. Le Madison sounds fancier but the price at Hotel Verneuil is much abetter(260.00 Euros/ night for a deluxe double vs 190 Euros/ night) Seems like a good deal and the place looks nice on the seb site. Any help with the decision? thanks

I can vouch for the quality of the Verneuil, but the Madison seems to well-liked here as well. See my comments & francophile's comments on this thread:

If this is for a summer trip, I believe the Verneuil rooms are still without AC.
Other than that, both are nice and well located 3*.
Verneuil is on a quiet street a few blocks from the heart of the StGdP action, while the Madison is in the middle of it.
I would choose the Verneuil for stays other than the summer months.

On the website, the Verneuil states that 15 of the rooms have ac, just fyi.

I am staying at the Hotel Verneuil in April so I promise to post a review! I must say they have been great with the emails and follow up on the reservation. Previously stayed at L'Hotel (fabulous but too pricey this year)

Just fyi, myself and awbaker have stayed at Hotel Verneuil recently (separately fyi) and we both like the hotel and staff alot. However, Le Madison is much more expensive but also has larger rooms I'm sure and comes with a nice buffet b'fast with the room.
Only the deluxe doubles at Verneuil are considered relatively roomy. But like awbaker mentioned quite a few rooms have a/c-not all. My room, a std. double, had a/c. So you have to specify this when reserving.

You cannot do wrong with either hotel in my opinion.

The Verneuil is indeed a very nice place but beware - the tiniest rooms we've ever had in that star category. In ours one of us had to lie on the bed so the other one could walk to the loo.

If you are going to spend the money and decide on Madison, ask for rooms 15 or 25 as they are beautiful and large! They have a royal blue decor, with trouser press, robes in the bathroom, lovely1 Another idea is for a treat ask for room 83. It is a top floor room that is very large and it has a direct view of Tour Eiffel. The rooms that face Blvd St, Germain are the best, just of course keep your window closed to keep out noise, but the noise still is not bad.

I'm sure whatver you choose will be fine, but I can personally vouched for Madison!

Just choose and get on with planing the rest of your wonderful trip1
