Hotel La Serre?
Hi fodorites, my sister is now joining me in Paris this Sept. and there is no room where I am staying at the Hotel du champs du Mar and was wondering if there was anyone that had current feedback re this hotel? Thanks much

I found a new website and was wasting my time on it yesterday, Eiffel Tower News...and was reading their recommendations for hotels by star ratings. They quite liked the LaSerre!
I remember yesterday "clicking" on the website and thought, yep...I could stay there! |
Very mixed reviews on Tripadvisor.com

I haven't stayed there, but it isn't impressive, not nearly the charm of the Champ du Mars. It is basically across the street from Grand Levecque, which gets consistently better reviews. The location is very good, but it will be very noisy in the early morning since it is right in the middle of the market street rue Cler.

What about this hotel? It is listed in A. Sawday's "Special Places to Stay" and is on a narrow street (not too noisy).

My boyfriend and I stayed at Hotel La Serre for a week in May and thought it was just fine. The owners were friendly and helped us with sightseeing tips and dinner reservations. The room was tiny but clean and had a large armoire. We didn't notice any excessive noise - maybe because we were in the back of the hotel, not on the street side. We had a view of the Eiffel Tower which was amazing. For the price, I thought it was excellent, and I would stay there again. Loved Rue Cler.
