Hotel Minerva is in Sorrento. It has a pool on the 5th floor. I stayed there in 2001 and it was fabulous! Tel.081-878-1011 or fax 081-878-1949. Ask for a sea view room. Db room was $120. You can get to Capri by boat in about 25 minutes. Have a great time.

sandy - if you need any info on Capri accomodations, just go to www.capri.net and it has all the info you'll need.

Elle - la Minerva is 3 star and Brunella 4. I don't recognise the street that Minerva is on, but I know about Brunella. It has got some seriously up scale neighbors like Scalinatella, Casa Morgano, Punta Tragara, etc. I would definitely go with that. That's not to say if your budget warrants to stay at La Minerva, I've heard good things but am just not sure I remember which one that is to comment further from my own experience.

Hi Elle,

Last month I stayed at La Minerva in Capri. Please go to my travelogue that I posted - just put in the search word "kiki" and the thread will pop up.

I liked it, but it was a little bit of a walk from town. I loved the Luna Hotel - a little bit more money, but better location.

Please read all of the wonderful things to do on Capri in my travelogue. I gave fantastic tips on shopping, sightseeing and restaurants!

Have a great time.

Kiki
