hotel inter-continental paris

we will be staying at the inter-continental(rue de castiglione). anybody know anything about the hotel? is it worth upgrading to the "club" floor?

It's a very large chain hotel in a prime location. If you upgrade to the club floor you might have a room with a view of the Tuileries Gardens across to the Seine.

Not to mention those other "club floor" perks (unless they don't happen on weekends..be sure to check that out).

I'd read the reviews on TripAdvisor, too.

This is a fine international businessman's hotel; go for the upgrade. Excellent access to Metro, taxis, reasonably priced restaurants and near a competitive currency exchange and discount perfume shop. The rooms lack any Parisian "feel" so opt for a view of the street or gardens. JP

I stayed there several years ago. It was my birthday-I was by myself and I wanted to dine in their best restaurant. There was some rennovations going on, so I asked the concierge for a recommendation telling him it was my birthday. For dessert they brought me a small cake with candle and a gift (a lovely picture frame).I was very impressed. I don't think there are many places that would have done as much.

Can't advise as to the club floor.
