Hotel in Zurich
 

We are going to spend 3 nights in Zurich , any suggestions about a hotel? (resenable price and good location) Thanks.

I'm a huge fan of the small and beautiful Kindli Hotel in a wonderful spot about halfway between the train station and the lake and between the main shopping street and the river. They have Laura Ashley style rooms, a wonderful breakfast in their downstairs restaurant, and a helpful and friendly staff. It is an extremely reasonable price to me -- about $170 US per night, less on weekends. But if by "reasonable" you mean cheap, I'm not sure.

For a really nice hotel, I prefer the Zum Storchen; but I think it might be a bit pricey. For a nice hotel in the old part of Zurich at a reasonable price, I recommend the Franziskaner. If you want a nearby suburban location, try the Hotel Ermitage au Lac, in Kussnacht.

Do you happen to know how far these hotels are from the airport?

ten minutes or so by train, but if you're driving, you might want to consider the Goldenen Kopf in Bulach, a little town just a bit north of the airport. Peaceful and pretty. J.
