Hotel in verona, any recommendations?

Hi, I am planning to make a trip to Italy in August. I am seeking for any recommendation of the hotel in Verona.
I am thinking of going to the opera at the arena in the evening, so any recommendation for the hotel close to arena is appreciated. Any suggestions?

We're staying at Verona House (apartments walking distance to the Arena) and seeing Aida on July 28th (I think). It got very good reviews on Tripadvisor.

We stayed at the Hotel De' Capuleti (part of the Best Western chain, but not chain-like) and thought it was very nice. The rooms have all the modern conveniences, but are not cold or unwelcoming. Our room even had a patio. Plus, the staff was friendly and helpful.

The hotel is not far from the Arena -- which you can see on the map on their website.

Good luck with your plans.

We spent a night last spring at Hotel Torcolo in Verona.

This little hotel is just off Piazza Bra and just a few yards from the arena.

We were very pleasantly surprised with the hotel, which we booked at the last minute. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was nicely furnished with a comfortable wrought-iron bed, antique-style tables and armoire.

Actually, we thought it much more appealing than its website indicates.
