Hotel in Toledo

My husband and I are planning to spend one night in Toledo in late April. We are looking for a small, charming hotel within the old city walls. We are hoping for something under 8000 ptas. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Sarah

Hostal de Cardenal is a small quaint hotel just inside the city walls. It runs about 10000ptas though. You're probably going to have a hard time staying under 8000 in the city itself.
Hope this helps. -B

I also recommend the Hostel de Cardenal. We stayed there for several days and really enjoyed it. We paid a bit extra for a room with a balcony and enjoyed drinks out there every night. The hotel restaurant was fantastic. Even if you don't stay at this hotel, I recommend the retaurant.

Sarah, is there a reason you wish to stay within the city walls? Having been there I can recommend a wonderful spot outside the city with a view that Goya made famous in his paintings. You would need a car or to spend $10.00 in cabfare to get back and forth.
The cost of the room was around 8,000 last March.
My wife loved the place! We had our own balcony and could watch the sun setting over Toledo. The rooms were large and tiled. Nice place.

We also stayed at Hostal de Cardinal but in September of this past year. Our actual bill for two of us, no balcony was 13,482 including the breakfast and tax. We booked directly with the hotel. We parked in a pay lot near it as there was no parking available at the hotel. It was a wonderful place, but thought you might want to rethink according to your budget and what prices the others have given. Incidentally their restaurant is indeed wonderful and is an outpost of the famous Botin's in Madrid.
