Hotel in Stockholm

We are looking for a centrally located, moderately priced hotel in Stockholm that is close to the major attractions, museums, restaurants and shopping.. We would also like to have breakfast included with the price.. I know Stockholm is very expensive but we are hoping to be able to find something around $ 250-300.00 a night. Please give me some suggestions.
Thanks, natjgc

Go to www.scandic.com. Scandic has several choices in Stockholm, all with breakfast included and free WiFi, a good deal especially on weekends..

We tried Hotwire and ended up with Sheraton Stockholm right next to the City Hall and the central train station. it was walking distance to all the major tourist attractions in Gamla Stan and across the bridge from Vasterlanggatan. The price was $199/night before tax. It was the only hotel on Hotwire at the time, it is a 5 star hotel.

Don't don't miss the VASA ship-the top attraction in Stockholm.Even if you don't think that you would enjoy seeing a ship that sat on the bottom of the harbor for over 300 years (and basically never sailed)you will find that the Vasa will take your breathe away when you walk into the museum. It is huge;presented in a fabulous musuem and is very interesting. It overlooks the water and has a cute restaurant onsite for lunch.

The Scandic hotel is a great idea. I just got a great deal at the Scandic Anglais. It's centrally located and rated highly on Trip Advisor. My single room is 67$ a night. A great deal for Stockholm.

we spent a night at the Raddison Blu, which was very centrally located. The room was fine but I don't think it included breakfast. The remainder of our time was at the Hotel J on Nacka Strand, just a 10 minute bus ride outside the city right on the water. We loved it as well.

Stockholm has been one of our favorite trips ever -- have a great time!

Thanks for your help everyone.
I have found 2 hotels in Stockholm that look very interesting:

Story Hotel and the Rica hotel.. Has anyone ever stayed there and if so, what is your opinion?

We spent 5 nights at the Courtyard last April. It was about a 15 minute walk to central Stockholm or a quick ride on the metro. It is in a really nice area, with lots of little cafes and a beautiful park across the street.
