Hotel in Sevilla

Hello,

Will be traveling to Sevilla in February and I'm looking for recommendation of a hotel that's centrally located . I wouldn't want to pay more than 175 euros per night for a double. I've been looking at recommendations in Tripadvisor and every time I think I've found what I'm looking for it seems to have one of those "modern" rooms with the tub/ shower open/ exposed to the bedroom. I don't need hip, I need a normal modern bathroom, that's all.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

We are staying at the melia in Sevilla. I was recommended to go there as it ticks all the boxes.

Enjoy your stay!

Thanks Mandalay. Is it by any chance the Gran Melia Colon? I currently have a reservation there but it seems to have one of those bathrooms. I think there's a curtain that blocks it from view, need to confirm that with hotel.

All I can say as I'm writing up a Spain and Portugal in Depth travel report is that in Sevilla we were at Hotel Sevilla Center, Avenida de Buhaira. Seemed OK.

I enjoyed Las Casas de la Juderia, which still seems to get decent reviews.

El Rey Moro was the favorite of our 8 hotels through Spain two Springs ago. It is centrally located on a tiny alley in the old Jewish Quarter, every room is different and has a real bathroom with a door! Every room looks over a quiet floral central courtyard. The help could not have been nicer or more helpful. We walked everywhere. I will let you check on their current prices. It was recommended by a travel agent but we did not go with a tour, our friends had their agent help with hotels. We were hoping to stay at the Amadeus but it had no vacancy, but we were so happy at this quiet gem.

There are many great looking apartments on Airbnb right in Seville that are very inexpensive. I'm staying in one in late December and will send a review. Used this in Madrid and Barcelona last year with great results. If you are new to this, go for it and there's a good chance you won't go back to hotels. VRBO also works well. Good Luck!

Check out the Fontecruz Sevilla. It's now part of Marriott's Autograph Collection and the price should be right (http://www.espanol.marriott.com/hote...ph-collection/).

We stayed there last March, in a superior room, for under €130/night, breakfast included. Great location and service.

DD and SIL stayed at Hotel Casa Imperial in Oct. and loved it. Reasonably priced, too.

I just stayed at the Hotel Rey Alfonso X a few months ago, and relaly liked it a lot. http://www.hotelreyalfonsox.es/en/

The location is just excellent, within walking distance to the cathedral, etc., but also many restaurants and cafes right nearby for dinner (or breakfast).

It is modern, but was comfortable, and I sometimes like being comfortable more than being quaint in my hotels. It was very quiet (I had a room overlooking an interior space), the staff excellent, and the bathroom was modern but was a real room.

Hotel Amadeus is another popular hotel, with many recommendations.

I'll be going to Seville in May and have decided to rent an apartment through Veoapartments (Pajaritos 2) with its great terrace.

I've stayed in the Amadeus and wouldn't call it modern. My room was extremely noisy, also, (they doors are very thin) and the decor a bit old-fashioned. The bathroom was large enough, but wasn't modern.
