Hotel in Rome - Walking distance to most attractions

Hi All - I need help with a centrally located hotel in Rome so that I can walk to most of the major attractions. I went on Trip Advisor, but to me its hard to uncover the location-based hotels on that site. Any neighborhoods or hotels you reccomend? The main attractions I want to be able to walk to are: Fontana di Trevi, Panteon, Piazza Navona, Colleseum, Spanish Steps. Anyone got a good suggestion?

Do a search on this board for Rome hotels and you'll find a wealth of information.
It would also help to know your budget.
One I'd suggest is the Santa Chiara. It has a great location near the Pantheon.

You can filter hotels by locations that closely match your sights of interest on www.venere.com

then check the reviews on that same site and also on Tripadvisor

Book the hotel however you prefer, thru Venere.com or contact the hotel directly (or their website).

If it helps, we stayed at a lovely small hotel called Residenza Antica Roma, located on via del Tritone, near Piazza Barberini. We walked to all of the places you mentioned, and also used the bus.

Megan:
You'll get more help if you tell us more.

Single room, double,...? Price range? When are you going? How many nights?

Twice now we have stayed in B&B Fellini near the Trevi Fountain. The location was perfect and we enjoyed our stay. For a few Euro's more they have a rooftop apartment with a huge terrace. We would stay there again our next trip to Rome.

Others have recommended the Hotel Julia, just up the block from B&B Fellini.

I always stay at the Hotel Suisse, between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. I then walk everywhere. It's more like a private home than a hotel, and it's very quite. I ask for a room overlooking the courtyard.

Hi Megan;

We stayed at the Locanda Senatorum last October and thought it was great and a perfect location. We walked to all the attractions you are interested in.

We paid $245 cdn. per night.

It gets good reviews on Tripadvisor.

This hotel is also in a great location, close to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and Campo de' Fiori.
