Hotel in Rome

I am trying to iron out details for my stay in Rome during the beginning of July. We are interested in seeing Ancient Rome(Forum, Pantheon, Colosseum, Palantine Hill, etc) and Christian Rome(Vatican, Basilica, Catacombs, etc). It will be the tail end of our leg through visit in Italy. Finally, we get there on a Thursday and fly out on a Monday.

We will try to find a guide for some, maybe all of our stay in Rome.

You have all been a great help so far. Thanks.

You do not give a budget so let me guess. Here are some I like--all 3 star prices
Albergo Cesari--terrific location
Nicolas Inn--nice B&B
Hotel San Carlo--decent value near Spanish Steps

Right, the budget. It needs to be below 200 euro/night. Any word on Lancelot or Paba?

Yes, Lancelot is on my list as well, but is down near the Colosseum--a bit south for me. Very helpful people may negate that.

try www.hoteljulia.it

It is right by the Trevi fountain.
It is safe and clean, breakfast included.

Try the Nazionale Montecitorio. Perfect location, really nice hotel, and they seem to squeek in under your budget for the first weekend in July. Good AC, too. I have had clients there and they loved it so much they cancelled a stay in another town to go back at the end of their trip.
