Hotel in or near new airport

I'll be flying home from the new Athens airport on June 12. We plan on staying in the Plaka and will probably take the public bus or a taxi to the airport. The new airport has a website, maybe it'll have some information on hotels at or near the new airport: <BR>www.athensairport-2001.gr

I could not access the web site www.athensairport-2001.gr, so I found this under Matt Barrett’s web site: http://athensguide.com/airport.html There is a hotel near the airport (at least it's the closest one: http://www.greecetravel.com/hotels/armonia/

We landed at Athens two weeks ago & our taxi was parked right in front a Sofitel Hotel, across the street from the terminal. You might want to check to see if it was open, as most of the airport was not completely finished. <BR> <BR>Note that the airport is very isolated - a good distance from Athens with nothing but grapes & olive tree farms surrounding it. <BR> <BR> <BR>
