Hotel in Naples needed - dual purpose

This is a fairly specific questions, so I'm hoping people really familiar with Naples will answer.

I need to be in Naples for 4 nights in April of this year, arriving on Saturday and leaving on Wedensday.

I will not be renting a car while I'm there.

I have a friend traveling with me. We'll have Saturday, Sunday and Monday morning to ourselves for sightseeing, shopping etc. I think we're probably going to go to either Capri or Pompeii on Sunday.

I will be working with the US Navy on Monday and Tuesday (over at Capodichino) and my friend will be on her own.

My budget for a double room is up to $150 US per night. I would like something somewhat business oriented, so that I can make calls and hopefully have internet access. I would also like it to be located somewhere that makes sense for two females. I'll need to take a taxi to the Navy base, and I assume we'll need to take one to go shopping downtown. We'll be flying in to Naples.

I've stayed at the Holiday Inn Centro in the past. This has worked out fairly well for the work part, but it has gotten really expensive.

Thanks for your help.

Try the Hotel Oriente, right in downtown Naples, near Piazza Municipio, and close to shopping and the Old Town.

Thanks, GAC - I just tried that, but they don't have any availability. Any other thoughts, maybe?

What you're talking about sounds like our stay at Hotel Mercure Angioini, also right by Plaza Municipio. It was nice, convenient, and business oriented.

Unfortunately - the Mercure came in at 180 Euro per night - outside my budget. I'm going to have to keep looking.

Try The Parteno BB on the Luongomare very nice.

Try Hotel Pinto Storey located on Piazza Amadeo. Nice rooms should be around you budget. In a good area and close to the metro.

Just wanted to pop back in and say thanks to everyone who answered. Turns out, I'm going to be on my own so I can book a single room. This puts the Holiday Inn Centro back in my budget. Going to stick with that seeing I'm familiar with it.
